Beit al-Manara Center for Special Needs

Providing Care, Community, and Compassion

For far too long, in the northern half of the Palestinian Territory, there have been no services for children and families with special needs. This has meant education, medical care, community, and compassion have largely been out of reach, leaving these families alone, isolated, and without hope for the future.

Beit al-Manara Center for Special Needs, which translates to "House of the Beacon" in Arabic, has been a dream for many years and is finally coming to fruition!

The center, located in the northern district of the Palestinian Territory of Samaria, will be the only one of its kind in the region. Serving primarily as a resourcing center, Beit al-Manara will come alongside these children and their families providing care, training, education, and advocacy in the community and greater governate area.

The Center will share space and serve alongside the ministry of Young Life, and will partner with them in ministering to both physical and spiritual needs of these families. We believe that by serving them in the context of faith, hope, and love centered around Jesus, holistic transformation will follow. We are building Beit al-Manara so that every child and family with special needs can come to know that their story matters and finds purpose in God’s KINGDOM STORY.

Currently, we are in a Capital Campaign to fund the renovation / rehabilitation of the future center space, which includes a drive-in courtyard (suitable for a future van equipped for wheelchairs), 2 classrooms, a large meeting room with small kitchen area, a handicapped accessible bathroom, reception area, office, and a fully-enclosed playground area with wheelchair lift.
